Zacatecas Silver (TSXV: ZAC) announced a non-brokered private placement of up to C$2,500,000 to fund a maiden drill program at the Oso Negro silver-gold epithermal project in Sonora, Mexico, subject to TSXV acceptance. The Prospecto and Tere vein systems have never been drilled, which is the whole appeal and the whole risk.

A maiden program at an epithermal target is a binary: surface sampling and vein geometry can look excellent and still not translate to drilled grade over mineable width. A raise of this size funds a first pass — enough to test the veins, not enough to define anything. Dilution at the placement price is the cost of finding out.

For a company at this stage, the honest framing is optionality: cheap exposure to a genuine discovery hole, with a real chance the drill returns nothing that matters. As disclosed in Zacatecas Silver's July 14, 2026 filing on SEDAR+.
