Luca Mining (TSXV: LUCA) reported new results from Tahuehueto, its polymetallic gold-silver-copper mine in Durango, Mexico, highlighted by 7.6 m of 16.08 g/t AuEq from breccia-hosted zones near existing workings. Any 'equivalent' grade deserves a second look, because the assumptions behind the conversion can quietly do most of the work.

Here the breakdown is reassuring: 14.27 g/t Au, 46.64 g/t Ag, 0.33% Cu, 2.57% Pb and 1.19% Zn. Gold alone accounts for the large majority of the 16.08 g/t AuEq, so this is a genuine high-grade gold intercept with by-product credits — not a modest gold grade dressed up by generous metal-price and recovery assumptions on the base metals.

Because Tahuehueto is already a mine, holes near existing workings are about extending mineable grade rather than making a discovery. On that test, 7.6 m at this grade is a good result. As disclosed in Luca's July 7, 2026 material change filing on SEDAR+.
