Aldebaran Resources (TSXV: ALDE) and its majority-owned subsidiary Centauri Minerals announced a C$17 million brokered offering of subscription receipts through TD Securities, plus a concurrent C$8 million non-brokered offering, for combined gross proceeds of up to C$25 million. For a large copper-gold system like Altar in Argentina, this is the kind of cheque required to keep a big drill program moving.
The subscription-receipt structure is worth understanding: proceeds are held in escrow and only released to the company once a defined condition is met, with the receipts converting to shares at that point. It is a way to raise money against a pending event while protecting investors if that event fails — common in M&A and large financings, and a signal the raise is tied to something specific.
For shareholders the trade is the usual one: dilution now against a funded program that can advance a genuinely large asset. As disclosed in the companies' July 6, 2026 filings on SEDAR+.
